This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist veterans by scheduling appointments, conducting triage, providing education, and offering continuous support with Veterans Affairs Canada coverage.

• Facilitate counseling services and conduct assessments for Veterans Affairs Canada as required.

• Manage communications via calls and emails directed to the Veteran phone line or email account.

• Coordinate patient coverage by submitting registrations and necessary documents to Licensed Producers, confirming interim coverage eligibility, forwarding documents to Medavie Blue Cross, and organizing vaporizer coverage.

• Address inquiries from Medavie Blue Cross and Veterans Affairs Canada regarding patient information, invoice submissions, and payment concerns.

• Oversee changes to Licensed Producers and coverage splits, ensuring to follow up with Medavie Blue Cross to avoid any disruptions.

• Schedule and prepare appointments, ensuring that all relevant documentation is available.

• Provide support to patients, process documentation, and arrange follow-up appointments.

• Conduct proactive follow-ups with veteran patients, monitor their treatment progress, resolve medication access challenges, and track outcomes in the EMR and associated documents.

• Keep track of expiration dates for prescriptions, exceptional coverage, and vaporizer coverage.

• Collaborate with clinic teams to streamline patient care and improve the overall patient experience.

• Maintain and update patient trackers, including patient numbers, order confirmations, prescribed dosages, expiration dates, and vaporizer coverage.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding attention to detail and robust organizational skills.

• Familiarity with Licensed Producers and the range of available medical cannabis products.

• Capability to educate patients about cannabis strains, consumption methods, and titration processes.

• Strong problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bilingualism is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology is advantageous.

• Experience with EMR systems, Microsoft 365, and QuickBooks.

• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with exemplary interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
