VB.NET Developer, WPF Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take charge of an existing **VB.NET / WPF desktop application**.

• Analyze, replicate, and resolve reported issues (DB connectivity, project save/load, grid rendering).

• Create and implement new features based on requests from the engineering team.

• Maintain and enhance **AutoCAD plugin integration** (currently ongoing) and lay the foundation for **EPLAN integration**.

• Engage in **release planning and quarterly delivery cycles**.

• Ensure the application remains stable and performs well within a legacy architecture.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in English.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with **VB.NET (production development)**.

• Strong proficiency in **WPF** (layouts, data bindings, custom controls).

• In-depth practical understanding of the **MVVM pattern**.

• Familiarity with **DevExpress WPF controls** (grids, editors).

• Good grasp of **.NET Framework 4.x** limitations and specifics.

• Experience utilizing **TFS** (check-in/check-out workflow).

• Background working with **Excel Interop** (data import/export).

• Capability to independently navigate and operate within a **legacy codebase**.

• Proficiency in English — **B1+ or higher**.

• - Experience with **AutoCAD or EPLAN integrations**.

• - Experience in modernizing or migrating legacy desktop applications.
