Utilization Intake Review Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Enter authorization details into a web-based system based on information received from telephone calls, voicemail messages, and emails.

• Collect and arrange clinical information for evaluation.

• Inform providers of the status of authorization requests in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Draft coverage determination letters.

• Utilize computers and electronic medical records on a daily basis.

• Support the Utilization team with administrative tasks throughout the various stages of standard medical review processes.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

• Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, clinical platforms, and performing internet searches.

• Familiarity with ICD-10 codes, CPT codes, and medical terminology is advantageous.

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and decisive.

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

• Capacity to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced office setting.

• Skill in prioritizing a substantial workload.

• Experience in a medical office or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.

• Participation in E-Verify to validate the employment eligibility of new hires.
