This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Prepare, file, and maintain all federal and state tax returns, encompassing corporate income tax, payroll tax, and sales tax filings.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to evolving tax regulations, deadlines, and requirements across all pertinent jurisdictions.
• Manage state registrations, licenses, and periodic filings essential for business operations and maintaining corporate good standing.
• Coordinate with insurance providers and regulatory agencies to maintain, file, and renew all required insurance registrations and compliance documentation.
• Oversee accounts receivable collections, including aging analysis, client follow-up, and resolution of outstanding invoices.
• Prepare and present financial reports to leadership, emphasizing key metrics, trends, and variances from projections.
• Reconcile accounts, verify transaction accuracy, and uphold detailed financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Support internal IT budget planning, analysis, and forecasting to optimize technology spending and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies to address inquiries and provide necessary documentation.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial and tax-related functions.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and tax information in line with company policies and applicable laws.
• Stay updated on changes in tax law, accounting standards, and best practices through ongoing professional development and industry engagement.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a tax compliance or financial accounting role.
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance and interstate business operations.
• Familiarity with accounting software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and financial analysis tools.
• Proven experience in IT budget planning and technology cost management.
• Strong understanding of sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate governance requirements.
• Experience working with small to mid-sized organizations (SMBs) or professional services firms.
• Proactive approach toward process automation and continuous improvement.
• Experience managing client relationships and communications with external stakeholders.
