This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee comprehensive bookkeeping for real estate clients, including brokerages, property management firms, and investors.
• Handle HUD statements, commissions, and various real estate-specific transactions.
• Reconcile balance sheets, bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts effectively.
• Classify uncategorized transactions to maintain precise ledgers.
• Generate monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow documentation, accompanied by variance analysis and straightforward commentary.
• Assist in client onboarding by promptly reviewing previous financials and establishing organized bookkeeping practices.
• Participate in regular calls with real estate clients and US-based teams, simplifying complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities proactively.
• Develop standardized checklists, month-end closing calendars, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Suggest and implement automation tools or workflows to minimize manual tasks and errors.
• Keep well-organized, audit-ready files and documentation for all periods and clients.
• Accurately process payroll, including deductions, approvals, and timely payments.
• Provide assistance with tax and compliance preparation as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of US accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably with real estate clients.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (mandatory), with clear and documented workflows.
• Familiarity with Xero, Bill.com, or other accounts payable/accounts receivable automation tools is an advantage.
• Strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets (including lookups and pivots) and basic reporting/business intelligence.
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken), with a focus on client-facing communication and service orientation.
• Ownership mentality: organized, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple clients with precision.
• Time-zone alignment: Comfortable working during US business hours.
