This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Engage with Urologists, Radiation Oncologists, and Medical Oncologists involved in the treatment of prostate cancer, as well as Urologists managing overactive bladder and neurogenic detrusor overactivity.
• Formulate comprehensive business and account strategies to implement brand initiatives and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and address their needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix team that includes medical, market access, and AbbVie Care teams.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments to boost sales effectiveness.
• Address objections and concerns during in-person and virtual sales interactions.
• Implement call strategies that optimize customer coverage and maximize sales potential.
• Acquire insights into customer requirements, territorial dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical knowledge.
• Share market insights with the district manager and team members.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, or a related field.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in a specialty sales position within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience in Urology is considered an advantage.
• Established connections with current healthcare provider targets are beneficial.
• Demonstrated sales success and strong presentation capabilities, both in-person and online.
• Familiarity with iCertis, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is a plus.
• Strong capability to recognize customer styles and behaviors and adapt the sales approach accordingly.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in business-related tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Skilled in using virtual platforms such as Zoom, Veeva Engage, and Microsoft Teams.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally, including overnight travel.
• Readiness to travel 50% within the assigned territory.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
• Ability to think strategically and create a high-quality territory plan.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to evaluate local markets and set direction.
