Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform age-appropriate medical histories and virtual examinations.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide array of conditions throughout various life stages.

• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests.

• Create and document treatment plans in a precise and timely manner.

• Manage acute, chronic, and mental health issues for both pediatric and adult patients.

• Seek consultation or referral from other healthcare professionals when necessary.

• Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.

• Stay updated on clinical best practices and evidence-based care.

• Offer flexible scheduling options, including evenings and weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, having previously graduated from an accredited nursing school.

• Possess an active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license while maintaining Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in compliance with state regulations.

• Hold current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC.

• Maintain active multi-state licensure (5+ licenses preferred).

• Have a minimum of 3+ years of post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings.

• Experience in providing care to patients ranging from newborns to adults.

• Ability to operate within an integrated medical practice.

• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and the capability to manage a diverse range of conditions.

• Exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills.

• Proficient in technology and electronic medical records.

• Maintain active Medicare status and be in good standing with Medicare/Medicaid without exclusions from federal health program participation.
