Unreal Engine Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members, clients, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create an application utilizing the Unreal 4 and 5 game engine.

• Actively contribute to the design and development of the application, from the prototyping stage through to final delivery.

• Write and test code, address bugs, profile, and enhance code performance.

• Adhere to best practices, development methodologies, and coding standards.

• Document technical designs and conduct peer reviews alongside fellow software engineers.

• Produce efficient code accompanied by clear comments, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

• Take initiative and ownership of projects as a highly motivated self-starter.

• Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines, effectively prioritize tasks, manage time wisely, and thrive in a small team setting.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Game Programming, or a related technical field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience is essential; 6 additional years of work experience may substitute for the degree. 3-5+ years of professional Game Programming experience in a similar field is highly preferred.

• An active Secret security clearance is required; US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Proven expertise and proficiency in C++ with the Unreal 4/5 Engine (3 or more years).

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Perforce, Git, etc.

• Experience with alternative Game Engines (Unity, VBS, etc.) is advantageous.

• Background in AR/VR platforms (HTC Vive, Oculus, ARKit, Hololens, etc.) is beneficial.

• Knowledge of iOS, Android, and/or Windows Mobile development.

• Proficiency in C/C++, Objective-C, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, XML, and other programming languages.

• Experience managing the design and programming life cycle of training content from initial concept to project completion.

• Experience in an Agile Scrum development environment.

• A portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing examples of previous work is preferred.
