UI/UX Specialist, Human Centered Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer subject matter expertise in UX design, providing strategic guidance rooted in Human-Centered Design and design thinking methodologies.

• Develop and present a User Experience (UX) Research Plan and Outcomes tailored for each use case.

• Facilitate discovery activities, including generative research with users and business stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other Product Teams to ensure that the new tool or service aligns with the existing framework.

• Lead the design and development of user interfaces across various applications.

• Deliver clear and actionable interface design specifications to development teams.

• Communicate research findings through multiple formats to enhance relevance and impact.

• Conduct requirements analysis based on User Experience Research, soliciting input from internal and external stakeholders.

• Create User Personas that reflect the diverse wants and needs of our applications and products.

• Develop Customer and User Journey Maps while capturing relevant data.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and fellow designers.

• Organize usability testing sessions to gather design feedback and apply the results to improve designs.

• Establish and maintain design standards across all project components.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of UI/UX designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience in designing dynamic forms with a strong focus on intuitive user experience and efficient design.

• Extensive experience in creating CSS cards and implementing drag & drop functionality.

• Background in UX strategy, user research, user interviews, surveys, and usability studies.

• Proficient in building personas, user journey maps, and empathy maps.

• Experience in UX analysis for conducting competitive analyses, market assessments, and heuristic evaluations.

• Extensive hands-on experience in developing and testing wireframes and prototypes.

• In-depth knowledge of Section 508 requirements and experience designing interfaces that comply with 508 standards.

• MA/MS with over 10 years of general experience in information systems, including 8+ years of specialized experience; or HS (16+ years), AA/AS (14+ years), BA/BS (12+ years), or Doctorate Degree/Ph.D. (9+ years).

• Experience in front-end development, particularly with ReactJS and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with UX principles, information architecture, content strategy, and best practices in health literacy and user-centered design.

• Background in software engineering and design architectures.

• Proficient with tools like Jira and Confluence for work item tracking and documentation.

• Experience working in an agile environment with knowledge of SAFe methodologies.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
