Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement design strategies that are in line with business goals and user requirements.

• Oversee the complete design workflow, from discovery and research to wireframing, prototyping, and final UI delivery.

• Perform in-depth user research, usability assessments, and A/B testing to validate and enhance design solutions.

• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to guarantee smooth execution of designs.

• Create adaptable UI components and contribute to the advancement of our design system.

• Champion accessibility (A11y) and inclusive design practices, ensuring our products cater to a diverse user audience.

• Develop and enhance micro-interactions and motion elements to boost user engagement and usability.

• Leverage data-driven insights to consistently enhance the user experience and optimize for business results.

• Mentor and support junior designers, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

• Keep abreast of fintech trends and best practices to propel product innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a senior product design position, emphasizing UX and a proven track record of leading significant projects.

• Proficient in visual design, typography, grids, layouts, and color theory.

• Skilled in interaction design, information architecture, and user flows.

• Comprehensive knowledge of designing for both mobile and web platforms, ensuring responsive and adaptive experiences.

• Strong understanding of behavioral psychology and its impact on user decision-making.

• Extensive background in conducting usability testing, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations.

• Ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative insights into meaningful design decisions.

• Familiarity with UX analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, etc.

• Expertise in atomic design principles and the development of scalable UI frameworks.

• Solid understanding of motion design tools (Lottie, After Effects, Principle) for creating dynamic user experiences.

• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior designers.

• Capability to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders across various teams.

• Comfortable operating within agile, fast-paced product teams.

• Mastery of Figma, with extensive experience in auto layout, design tokens, component variants, interactive prototypes, and scalable design libraries.

• Demonstrated experience in fintech and/or SaaS settings, with a strong grasp of industry challenges and user behaviors.
