UI/UX Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with design, art, engineering, and production teams to modify existing UI and UX systems for new platforms while maintaining essential gameplay workflows and player expectations.

• Evaluate current interfaces and pinpoint areas for enhancement in navigation, readability, accessibility, and the overall user experience.

• Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interface layouts that accommodate new input methods and platform-specific interaction styles.

• Identify UX friction points caused by platform transitions and devise solutions that enhance clarity, usability, and player comfort.

• Ensure consistency with the established visual style, information hierarchy, and interaction patterns of the original game.

• Engage in reviews, playtests, and usability assessments, utilizing player feedback and observations to improve designs.

• Champion usability, accessibility, and player-centered design throughout the development process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design for games, including UI design, UX thinking, user flows, wireframing, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience in designing interfaces for complex gameplay systems or feature-rich applications.

• Strong grasp of information hierarchy, readability, usability, accessibility, and principles of interaction design.

• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software.

• Knowledge of controller-first UX patterns, navigation flows, and platform-specific user expectations.

• Capability to work independently, manage tasks effectively, and iterate based on feedback in a production environment.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a history of working closely with designers, artists, engineers, and QA personnel.

• Ability to effectively convey design intent through mockups, documentation, presentations, and discussions.
