This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a member of the Regional Service Team, delivering exceptional service to customers throughout the USA and Canada.
• Oversee all resources and logistics necessary for executing services and maintenance tasks at customer locations.
• Assist in the implementation of retrofit projects, which include installation, power activation, and commissioning of turbine control solutions (MkVI, MkVIe), along with TIL implementation.
• Provide support for warranty management and resolve troubleshooting issues.
• Address customer service inquiries and spearhead issue resolution during both warranty and post-warranty phases.
• Responsible for pre-planning, site scheduling, field engineering, commissioning, control system start-up, and the transition of projects to customers.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, customers, and supplier representatives to ensure financial efficiency, high-quality installations, punctuality, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Respond promptly to customer service call-out requests.
• Complete service timesheets, trip reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Work in tandem with other departments to identify and document change order opportunities and evaluate proposals for new projects.
• Engage with GE Power Services, GE Industrial, and other GE divisions.
• Expect significant travel and overtime, potentially up to 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Automation, Electronic Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with turbine control solutions (MkV, MkVI, MKVIe).
• Background in HMI upgrades.
• Experience in TIL implementation.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of field engineering experience in power generation, industrial plant automation, DCS (distributed control systems), PLC (programmable logic controllers), or similar sectors.
• Previous experience in industrial field service.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics and/or mechanical systems.
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and TCP/IP configuration.
• Capability to learn additional software tools such as Cimplicity, Intellution, Toolbox, GAP, etc.
• Must be eligible for domestic travel up to 80% of the time.
