Trial Operations Data Analyst

📋 Description

• Assist in the governance of Trial Operations data by conducting manual stewardship reviews for the Trial Ops MDM domain.

• Collaborate with Trial Ops Governance, Data Owners/Stewards, and operational stakeholders.

• Enhance and maintain the quality and integrity of Trial Ops master data.

• Carry out manual reviews and validations of Trial Ops MDM records according to established standards.

• Assess, investigate, and resolve basic data quality issues while directing complex exceptions appropriately.

• Implement stewardship workflows using designated tools, ensuring that requests are handled within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

• Record decisions and justifications for approvals, rejections, and holds in accordance with Takeda governance practices.

• Enforce data governance policies and guarantee compliance with the Takeda Quality Management System.

• Track and report on operational metrics, raising awareness of emerging risks and suggesting corrective actions.

• Assist in data cleansing and remediation initiatives under the guidance of the domain steward/governance lead.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requests and mitigate recurring data issues.

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline manual review processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Minimum of 2 years in data stewardship, MDM, data quality, or related data operations, preferably within life sciences or clinical trial operations.

• Experience in SOP/quality-controlled or regulated (GxP) environments is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail; committed to quality and accountability.

• Demonstrates sound judgment and escalates issues appropriately.

• Excellent communication skills; able to collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment.

• Highly organized; capable of meeting SLAs in a high-volume workflow.

• Possesses a continuous improvement mindset.

• Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.

• Ability to apply standards and rules for manual review, including checks for completeness, validity, and duplicates.

• Proficient in Excel and collaboration tools; comfortable using ticketing/workflow and MDM systems.

• Basic reporting and metrics skills alongside strong documentation and audit-trail discipline.

• Understanding of GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
