This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +3 more states.
• Secure and manage construction projects through competitive bidding.
• Oversee contract execution from initiation to completion, including scheduling, cost management, progress tracking, compliance, and client interaction.
• Identify and pursue bid opportunities via client relationships, networking, public/private postings, assigned bids, and various other channels.
• Establish and foster positive relationships with existing clients while also cultivating connections with prospective clients.
• Prepare project estimates for bid submissions by analyzing plans and specifications, calculating quantities, obtaining quotes, assembling the bid, and finalizing the bid submission.
• Organize pre-construction meetings for awarded projects to ensure effective communication and collaboration among project managers, field teams, and office support.
• Collaborate with operations staff to determine suitable construction methods and staffing requirements.
• Acquire necessary permits and licenses.
• Monitor costs by tracking labor, equipment, and material expenses.
• Oversee billing processes with Project Coordinators to guarantee accurate invoicing, timely approval of payables, accounts receivable collection, and monthly management of over/under billing.
• Ensure compliance with EEO/DBE project requirements through effective communication.
• Guarantee that all project components are executed safely, within budget, and within the designated time frame.
• Utilize appropriate resources to address any project-related issues that may emerge.
• Obtain approval for all project change orders prior to work initiation and manage alterations to the scope of work to uphold profitability.
• Coordinate efforts and communication with the project owner/general contractor to achieve safe and timely project completion while adjusting project scope and timelines as necessary.
• Keep Leadership informed on all matters of significant importance.
• Bachelor’s Degree; a minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven expertise in Construction Bidding and Project Management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with MS Teams is desirable but not mandatory.
• Exceptional communication abilities, including the capacity to convey information clearly to all management levels, employees, external vendors, and business partners.
• Capability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, clients, and/or regulatory agencies.
• Skill in identifying problems, gathering and documenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide range of situations and events and respond appropriately.
• Willingness to seek counsel when necessary and utilize various resources.
• Competence in developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of Viewpoint Vista and HCSS construction software is preferred.
