This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Apex is looking for a Mid-level Industrial Hygienist (IH) who is prepared to travel across the United States to offer comprehensive occupational health and safety expertise to a diverse range of national clients in the aerospace, warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution sectors.
• Deliver onsite and remote IH support periodically based on client requirements.
• Assist with ongoing tasks and negotiations involving various customer stakeholders.
• Serve as a consultant to clients on matters related to occupational safety and health.
• Contribute insights to Apex’s client relationship managers and business development team regarding potential new EHS support initiatives.
• Engage in business development activities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree with approximately 3 or more years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent blend of technical education and experience.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• CIH certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Electrical Magnetic Frequency (EMF).
• Knowledge and background in chemical and toxicology.
• Extensive understanding of vertical standards and program management.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficient in data management and report preparation.
• A creative self-starter.
• Capability to utilize experience and judgment, along with the overall work statement provided by the client, to plan and achieve objectives.
• Experienced in ensuring compliance with all EHS/OSHA/ACGIH and NIOSH regulations.
• Monitors changes in laws and regulations that affect the organization.
• Strong technical writing abilities.
• Competent in successfully managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exhibits strong safety awareness and knowledge of safe work practices.
• Represents Apex’s commitment to excellence to client stakeholders.
• Solid background in occupational health and safety sciences such as chemistry, physics, toxicology, radiation, and safety.
• Strong skills in collecting, assessing, organizing, and summarizing data.
• Relevant experience in adhering to regulatory methodologies for gathering impactful data.
• Ability to lead audits, inspections, and investigations while coordinating issue resolution.
• Understands emerging technologies for identifying potential hazards and control measures.
• Capable of collaborating with clients to design, implement, execute, and report on an agreed-upon service plan.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite.
