Transportation Safety Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• This position offers the flexibility of remote work, requiring travel to clients 50-75% of the time for conducting safety inspections at worksites and facilities across Southern New Hampshire, Central and Eastern Massachusetts, and Northern Rhode Island.

• The candidate must possess the ability to identify workplace hazards and provide recommendations for compliance.

• Additionally, the candidate is expected to develop safety programs and assist with their implementation.

• Conduct safety training sessions for client employees as necessary.

• Create safety manuals, including site-specific manuals when needed.

• Engage in discussions regarding safety protocols with general contractors as required.

• Collaborate with governmental agencies when mitigation efforts are necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A thorough understanding of OSHA 10 and 30/40 (including all subparts) is mandatory.

• The ideal candidate should be self-driven and proactive in recognizing issues and formulating recommended solutions.

• A high level of business acumen is essential, along with the capacity to communicate effectively with all management levels in a dynamic work environment.

• Must be able to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

• Willingness to travel 50-75% within New York State is required.
