Transmission Line Engineer, Entry-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the design of overhead transmission lines, which includes:

• Development of plans and profiles

• Assistance with structure spotting

• Performing basic drafting and design activities

• Support for engineering calculations such as:

• Analysis of sag and tension

• Conducting clearance assessments

• Acquire knowledge and use industry software tools (e.g., PLS-CADD)

• Aid in the preparation of engineering drawings, reports, and material lists

• Collaborate with internal teams, including structural, environmental, and survey departments

• Engage in field visits and site evaluations as required

• Assist in quality control processes and documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering

• 0–3 years of applicable experience (internship experience is acceptable)

• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 6–12 months

• Strong enthusiasm for transmission line engineering and infrastructure projects

• Familiarity with PLS-CADD or similar engineering software (preferred)

• Understanding of basic engineering design principles and standards (preferred)

• Internship or coursework related to power delivery or structural design (preferred)
