This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
β’ Utilize power flow modeling, production cost models, and various analytical tools to enhance KCE's active development portfolio.
β’ Optimize interconnection expenditures for new project initiatives.
β’ Contribute to market performance analysis for KCE's operational portfolio.
β’ Define, execute, and automate studies employing power flow models to support critical decision-making for both new and existing BESS development projects.
β’ Assist in the interpretation of third-party power flow and production cost analyses.
β’ Generate internal memos and presentations regarding transmission upgrade costs related to current projects.
β’ Conduct production cost model studies to back market theses and identify commercial opportunities.
β’ Recognize and implement enhancements to short-term price forecasting.
β’ Develop and sustain internal resources for the responsibilities mentioned above.
β’ A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a comparable technical field.
β’ A master's degree in electrical engineering or two years of experience in electrical engineering, planning, or operations within the power sector is preferred.
β’ Proficient in power flow and production cost modeling tools (e.g., Siemens PSSE, PowerWorld Simulator, PROMOD, Dayzer).
β’ Skilled in Python, SQL, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
β’ Capable of collaborating effectively within a small team.
