Transactions Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in proactive and ongoing outreach as well as discovery calls with sellers and M&A advisors.

• Execute deal qualification and conduct thorough historical financial underwriting on potential opportunities.

• Build and sustain relationships with lower middle market bankers, business brokers, and professional advisors.

• Implement structured outreach strategies to remain prominent in the minds of potential acquisition prospects.

• Create deal summaries, screening memos, and financial workbooks for the investment committee's review.

• Clearly communicate findings while identifying key risks, opportunities, and outstanding items to the broader transaction team and C-Suite.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in finance or accounting within investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, venture capital, or accounting advisory, with familiarity in buy-side deal processes and financial statement analysis.

• Proven experience or significant interest in assessing SMBs, including engaging in conversations with sellers and brokers.

• Experience in managing and leading projects or workstreams in fast-paced or high-growth environments.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and operational capabilities.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple deals or initiatives at once.

• Comfortable working under guidance while also independently owning specific workstreams.
