Trading Technology Engineer – Java, Quant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the design, development, and delivery of components for our trading system.

• Implement new features, resolve bugs, and optimize performance.

• Collaborate with Financial Products and quantitative researchers to ensure successful product delivery.

• Provide mentorship to team members and spearhead firm-wide initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of programming experience in crafting high-performance Java applications.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.

• Experience in a relevant field, such as within a Hedge Fund, Investment Bank, or Exchange, focusing on the development of financial trading applications.

• A solid understanding of modern software development principles and testing methodologies, including TDD and BDD.

• Familiarity with design patterns and object-oriented programming principles like SOLID, along with a deep understanding of algorithms and their complexities.

• Knowledge of the Java Memory Model and practical concurrency.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for breaking down larger issues and simplifying complex challenges.
