This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Profitability of purchase and sale transactions.
• Cultivating and enhancing relationships with key decision-makers in essential supplier organizations for product sourcing, as well as with principal purchasing decision-makers in critical customer organizations for product sales.
• Formulating innovative strategies for buying and selling products, creating plans to achieve profits in both long-term and short-term market contexts.
• Conducting analysis and benchmarking of supply/demand dynamics, historical trends, and forecasts regarding consumption, availability, manufacturing capacity utilization, and competitive pricing strategies for the product category.
• Crafting the team's business strategy, profit objectives, action plans, and performance evaluation metrics.
• Initiating and finalizing profitable trading transactions with minimal risk and optimal returns.
• Extensive experience in chemical commodity trading.
• A proactive and self-driven individual with high energy and a strong sense of urgency.
• A "self-starter" capable of working independently, identifying potential opportunities, and taking prompt and appropriate action.
• Focused on the "bottom line," employing creative problem-solving abilities to successfully close transactions.
• An effective time manager who honors commitments and consistently meets deadlines.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization, including ship owners/brokers, suppliers, and customers.
• Proficient in research and analytical skills.
