This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Resolve total loss claims with vehicle owners and lienholders.
• Obtain vehicle releases, negotiate release fees, and manage salvage relocation.
• Reduce storage, rental, and other costs while ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Handle documentation for title transfers and secure the return of salvaged vehicles.
• Disburse settlement payments to vehicle owners and lienholders.
• Maintain knowledge of estimatics, policy and carrier guidelines, regulatory compliance, and relevant laws.
• Assess Actual Cash Value, options, condition ratings, previous unrelated damage, refurbishments, comparable vehicles, and market availability.
• Negotiate settlement agreements effectively.
• Record all claims using internal training tools and external resources.
• Keep track of interactions with both internal and external customers and sources.
• Collaborate with repair facilities, rental agencies, and salvage yards.
• Foster virtual relationships with team members, managers, and directors while working remotely.
• Currently engaged in total loss settlements with an insurance carrier.
• Basic understanding or experience in estimating and evaluating total losses.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UPD estimates, parts costs, total loss classifications, and fraud detection.
• 2–5 years of experience in Auto Total Loss Settlement within the Insurance Industry.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive total loss conditioning and optioning processes.
• Solid understanding of automotive terminology and vehicle construction.
• Proficiency with Mitchell UltraMate, CCC One, and/or Audatex.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on achieving accurate and timely results.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills for remote interactions with customers, shops, and vendors.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a strong ability to collaborate.
• Capacity to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual environment.
