This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Abstract and review documents from public records to provide title opinions grounded in facts and documentation.

• Investigate previous chains of title and associated documents for inaccuracies and title issues.

• Assess title orders to ascertain title conditions and insurability.

• Generate precise title commitments in accordance with company examining and policy procedures.

• Research title plant software and analyze record documents to establish ownership and legal descriptions.

• Clarify chains of title, exceptions, and requirements to clients and management.

• Identify title defects and devise curative solutions.

• Evaluate risks and liabilities, escalating issues to title managers or underwriters as necessary.

• Uphold daily production targets and delivery standards.

• Collaborate with customers and management to fulfill time constraints and address inquiries.

• Engage in special projects and carry out additional assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in preparing title commitments is essential.

• Prior experience in examining titles in PA, MA, RI, CT, NH, NJ, and VT.

• A minimum of four years of industry experience.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Familiarity with underwriting policies and guidelines for the specified states.

• Understanding of real estate law and title and escrow curative procedures.

• Preferred experience with title searching software such as DataTree, DATA Trace, FASTSearch, and county websites.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Organizational abilities and capacity to work within defined time frames.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.

• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

• Proficient in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

• Competency in addressing practical problems with limited standardization.

• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions.

• Capability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
