QA Automation Engineer

Posted 15 hours ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate into a product development team as its quality advocate, involved from the beginning of feature kickoff through to release, rather than functioning solely as a downstream gatekeeper.

• Emphasize early involvement: work alongside engineers and PMs during the requirements and design phases to establish test cases, test plans, and acceptance criteria prior to the start of implementation.

• Take ownership of automated coverage as part of the Definition of Done, ensuring that every new feature is delivered with the necessary automation tests for protection.

• Utilize AI throughout the testing lifecycle: generating and updating Playwright/TypeScript scripts, creating test cases from requirements, triaging failures, and addressing coverage gaps.

• Develop and sustain comprehensive end-to-end automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript.

• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the team's AI capabilities, tools, and frameworks to improve the effectiveness and reliability of automation.

• Promote a quality-first culture and assist in advancing testing standards across the product organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Test Automation Engineer.

• Technically proficient. You produce clean, maintainable code, comprehend the systems you are testing, and can engage in engineering discussions confidently.

• A critical thinker. You investigate edge cases, challenge assumptions, and do not accept a passing test suite (or an AI-generated one) at face value.

• Comfortable working closely embedded within a product team and collaborating with engineers. You view quality as a collective responsibility, not merely a handoff.

• An AI enthusiast who seeks to expand the possibilities of what can be achieved and shares that vision with the team.

• Proficient with Playwright and TypeScript for constructing robust automated test suites.

• Capable of writing SQL queries.

• You distinguish yourself through high standards and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong skills in English speaking and writing.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust is advantageous.

• Familiarity with billing systems/software is a plus.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

• Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

• Flexible working hours with options for remote work.

• Opportunities for professional development and training.

• Supportive team culture that values collaboration and innovation.
