Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with software developers, analysts, and functional testers to create and sustain automated test solutions.

• Design and implement automated testing strategies for middleware, API, and data integration layers.

• Develop and manage scalable Selenium-based automation frameworks utilizing Java and TestNG.

• Conduct API automation testing with tools like RestAssured, Karate, ReadyAPI, and SoapUI.

• Perform various testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and data validation testing.

• Work alongside QA leads, developers, and business stakeholders to address issues and enhance testing efficiency.

• Assist with the automation of CI/CD pipeline and testing activities in Agile and DevSecOps environments.

• Leverage tools such as JIRA, SQL, AWS services, and automation frameworks to facilitate testing efforts.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in testing.

• Take on additional responsibilities as necessary to support team goals and ensure project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

• Proven hands-on experience with Selenium automation frameworks using Java and TestNG.

• Recent experience in writing, debugging, and maintaining Java-based automation scripts.

• Familiarity with API automation testing using RestAssured, Karate, ReadyAPI, or SoapUI.

• Experience in testing middleware, REST APIs, backend services, and applications based on AWS.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Agile, and DevSecOps testing methodologies.

• Proficient in SQL/data validation and familiar with tools like JIRA and Section 508 testing tools.

• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration abilities.

• Additional Qualifications: Preferred experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), healthcare systems, or EHR integrations.

• Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, and related technologies is advantageous.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
