Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Developers and Product Owners to grasp testing requirements and goals.

• Create Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) specifications, test cases, and scripts derived from User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.

• Execute test cases, document the results, and identify as well as prioritize defects for resolution.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing processes and methodologies.

• Effectively communicate with project team members to ensure that testing activities are delivered on time.

• Offer support and mentorship to junior team members as necessary.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Jest for functional and regression testing.

• Utilize Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) to ensure alignment between technical specifications and business requirements.

• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure DevOps to integrate and run automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Conduct testing for Workday applications, ensuring data integrity, functionality, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing as an Automation Test Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).

• Proficiency in either Java or JavaScript.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium for test automation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a team setting.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-paced environment.

• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification is desirable.

• Experience utilizing JIRA Software for test case management and defect tracking is desirable.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices is desirable.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes is desirable.

• Knowledge or experience with Automated Testing frameworks and tools is desirable.

• Experience with Cucumber for BDD and test automation is desirable.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure DevOps is desirable.

• Experience testing Workday applications or similar enterprise systems is desirable.
