Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identifying testing requirements based on design and specification documents.

• Creating test cases/scripts for functional and regression testing.

• Efficiently executing web application test cases to adhere to project timelines.

• Utilizing project tools (Microsoft TFS) for test case management & execution, defect reporting, and providing training to others as necessary.

• Recognizing opportunities for test automation and developing corresponding configurations & scripts.

• Anticipating tasks to meet schedule deadlines and resolving issues to prevent delays.

• Monitoring the progress of individual tests by continually evaluating assigned work against deadlines.

• Reporting testing status to team leads and managers.

• Fostering a fun and supportive work environment to maximize productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in executing and reporting web application testing efforts.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing test cases/scripts for web applications.

• Familiarity with QA strategies and best practices for web application testing.

• Proficient in writing SQL queries to condition and access test data and validate results.

• Strong interpersonal communication abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to engage with a diverse audience including executives, managers, and subject matter experts (both technical and non-technical).

• High attention to detail.

• Previous experience in testing for the State of California government (Desired).

• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps ALM tools, including Microsoft Test Manager or Azure Test Plans (Desired).

• Experience with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) testing (Desired).

• Familiarity with Tricentis Tosca (test automation tool) (Desired).

• Experience with cross-browser testing (Desired).
