Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Operate independently from a remote location while traveling to supplier sites to ensure compliance with quality standards.

• Perform supplier audits and evaluations to pinpoint areas of non-compliance and document Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) items.

• Collaborate with suppliers to oversee and enhance RCCA improvement plans in alignment with the RAIL agenda.

• Create recovery plans for suppliers aimed at boosting Supplier Quality scores and minimizing Supplier Quality Corrective actions.

• Design and implement quality control processes and procedures that meet industry standards and customer specifications.

• Execute inspections and tests on products, components, and materials to detect defects or deviations from specifications.

• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and put corrective measures in place.

• Analyze performance data and produce reports that track quality metrics and highlight improvement opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in conducting assessments and audits in the aerospace, automotive, or related sectors.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.

• In-depth understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Knowledgeable about AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

• Travel requirements up to 90%.
