This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Promote and market Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems products to electrical contractors and industrial facilities via distributor partners.
• Oversee the existing business, explore new opportunities, manage time, and utilize company resources within the assigned territory to meet or surpass quarterly and annual sales goals.
• Conduct sales presentations to contractors, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, industrial facilities, and distributors.
• Arrange and execute product demonstrations at contractor and industrial sites.
• Create budgetary project estimates and formal proposals for distributors prior to bid deadlines.
• Deliver expert support to end-users, specification influencers, and distributors.
• Interact with clients through in-person meetings, Teams, phone calls, text messages, emails, presentations, trade shows, and social events.
• Train distributor staff to effectively sell and endorse Hubbell WDK products.
• Oversee distributor inventory levels to enhance order fill rates and optimize inventory turnover.
• Maintain precise and timely records using Salesforce and Concur.
• Complete personal sales training assignments as required.
• Inform the District Sales Manager about challenges, sales prospects, achievements, and suggestions for products or sales tools.
• Cover open territories as designated by the District Sales Manager.
• Furnish customers with literature, technical specifications, diagrams, and cross-reference data.
• Must be a resident of the Knoxville area.
• A college degree with 3+ years of relevant electrical product sales experience, or a High School Diploma with 6+ years of corresponding electrical product sales experience.
• Required experience in electrical product sales.
• Preferred experience in selling to electrical contractors.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas is essential.
• Exceptional persuasive interpersonal abilities.
• Customer-focused approach with an emphasis on excellent service and building long-term relationships.
• Ability to remain resilient when facing rejection and setbacks.
• Strong organizational capabilities for managing leads, follow-ups, and sales meetings.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with CRM software or sales tracking systems.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with sales and other departments.
