This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of and implement the USMC go-to-market strategy to foster pipeline development, opportunity progression, and bookings across Shield AI’s complete product portfolio.
• Assume full responsibility for the USMC revenue target, which includes monitoring pipeline health, opportunity advancement, forecast precision, and finalized bookings.
• Discover, shape, and pursue new prospects within USMC program offices, operational units, and modernization initiatives.
• Establish and sustain a qualified pipeline of USMC opportunities from initial engagement to contract award.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from the first engagement to contract award, with accountability for closing revenue and meeting USMC quota objectives.
• Collaborate directly with USMC stakeholders to convert operational challenges into funded procurement opportunities that implement Shield AI capabilities in the field.
• Act with urgency to promote opportunities and hasten the transition of Shield AI capabilities from evaluation to program of record.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with USMC program managers, operational leaders, and acquisition stakeholders.
• Partner with Shield AI growth advisors who offer USMC domain expertise, acquisition insights, and senior-level access.
• Coordinate internal teams, including engineering, product, program management, and capture resources, to facilitate opportunity execution.
• Spearhead opportunity strategy and deal progression, which includes shaping customer requirements, developing capture plans, and assisting with proposal efforts.
• Ensure accurate pipeline forecasting and revenue projections.
• Promote the adoption of fielded capabilities that provide immediate operational value to USMC customers.
• Bachelor’s degree and experience in defense sales, business development, or military operations.
• Proven ability to independently develop pipeline and finalize deals in intricate government sales environments.
• Experience collaborating with USMC customers, program offices, or operational units.
• Strong grasp of military operations and familiarity with Department of Defense procurement procedures.
• Capability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently and drive deals through lengthy and complex sales cycles.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and operational stakeholders.
• Ability to convert operational demands into solution-driven sales prospects.
• Eligibility to obtain TS/SCI Clearance – Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance preferred.
• Residing near major USMC commands, with the potential for travel up to 50% of the time to additional USMC installations and program offices.
