This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate intake assessments, which encompass medical history, dietary patterns, laboratory findings, and more.
• Facilitate diet and lifestyle counseling and educational sessions through video conferencing.
• Provide general guidance on movement, sleep, or stress management as required and related to nutritional care.
• Utilize Allara’s nutrition training and educational resources while tailoring care to meet patient needs.
• Integrate motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies throughout the continuity of care.
• Collaborate with APRNs and MDs involved in the patients’ medical management.
• Keep accurate and updated patient records.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours weekly alongside administrative duties.
• Document and respond to patient inquiries.
• Attend to administrative tasks and communications promptly.
• Valid Registered Dietitian certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in treating patients with complex women’s health issues is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated capability to operate as an independent provider.
• Strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, focusing on compassion and clarity.
• Ability to establish trust and rapport with patients in a virtual environment.
• Dedication to evidence-based care grounded in current clinical research.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling tools.
• Previous telehealth experience is advantageous.
• An active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state is mandatory.
• Capability to allocate at least 80% of weekly contracted hours to designated evening, Friday, and/or weekend hours.
• Ability to operate according to the time zone of the active state license(s).
• Two professional references: one supervisor and one coworker from the past 5 years.
• The flexibility and independence of an independent contractor arrangement.
• Compensation per visit along with additional pay for charting, administrative duties, and other patient-related tasks.
