Telehealth – Primary Care Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual primary care consultations through video and other telehealth platforms.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse array of acute and chronic conditions in adults.

• Order and analyze laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic evaluations.

• Prescribe medications and oversee ongoing treatment strategies.

• Offer patient education and clinical advice to enhance health outcomes.

• Facilitate care coordination with specialists, care coordinators, and external healthcare providers as necessary.

• Support patients throughout their healthcare journey, from initial visits to follow-up appointments.

• Maintain accurate and efficient documentation in Athena EMR and other internal systems.

• Comply with all telehealth regulations, prescribing standards, and state-specific mandates.

• Appropriately escalate patient care based on clinical requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Active and unrestricted DEA license.

• Active and unrestricted medical licenses in several U.S. states (5 or more strongly preferred).

• Preference for candidates eligible for or participating in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.

• Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in primary care or similar fields.

• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to address a wide variety of patient needs.

• Comfort in practicing independently within a virtual care environment.

• Exceptional communication skills and excellent virtual bedside manner.

• Proficient in using EHR systems, with preference for experience in Athena.
