Telehealth Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Develop personalized treatment plans for patients; make adjustments to these plans as necessary when patients do not show expected improvement, either autonomously or in consultation with a more seasoned provider.

• Employ motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and other behavioral strategies to encourage patients to stay engaged in care and adhere to their treatment plans. Conduct behavioral health and psychological evaluations for the range of conditions we address (such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.).

• Methodically monitor treatment responses and observe patients for any changes in clinical symptoms and side effects, treatment adherence, effectiveness of interventions, or complications, and prescribe or recommend appropriate medications as necessary.

• Provide educational resources to patients regarding Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).

• Record all patient interactions in Ophelia’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) promptly and with high quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

• Active DEA license (schedule 3N, 4, 5) or a readiness to obtain a DEA license upon receiving an offer from Ophelia.

• Fully licensed to practice in Pennsylvania (additional licenses in New Jersey, New York, Virginia, or Maryland are a plus!).

• Capacity to deliver patient-centered, non-judgmental, and compassionate care without stigma.

• Enthusiastic about serving vulnerable or marginalized populations.

• Comfortable working with a diverse population.

• Proficient and at ease in a remote telehealth setting, with the technical skills necessary to navigate multiple technology platforms.

• Eager to be part of a dynamic healthcare startup that is fast-paced and continuously adapting processes and technologies to meet the needs of patients and clinicians.

• Willingness to adopt a team-based approach to patient care.

• Familiarity with differential diagnosis of common substance use disorders.

• Basic understanding of psychopharmacology specific to opioid use disorder.

• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment.

• Capability to maintain professional and effective relationships with patients and fellow care team members.

• Understanding of evidence-based psychosocial treatments, counseling techniques, or brief behavioral interventions.
