Telecom Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle implementation of telecom network functions within cloud-native environments.

• Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and cloud service providers.

• Manage the design, deployment, acceptance, operations, documentation, and support processes.

• Ensure a seamless transition from deployment to operations with adequate knowledge transfer.

• Work across the entire mobile network architecture and network elements (NEs).

• Provide support for technologies spanning 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA).

• Oversee core network functions such as: Packet Core, IMS Core, Charging & Policy, and Registration & Subscriber Repositories.

• Leverage extensive knowledge of telecom protocols and architectures.

• Implement and uphold FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, Security) frameworks.

• Deploy and manage telecom infrastructure in cloud-native settings.

• Utilize platforms like AWS, Azure, OpenShift, and VMware.

• Configure and oversee infrastructure templates (e.g., Heat, YAML).

• Ensure compliance with deployment standards and best practices.

• Continuously enhance deployment and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to automate workflows.

• Identify opportunities for boosting efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

• Assist in the development of infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or a related discipline.

• Over 15 years of experience in network architecture, wireless networking, and virtualization.

• Extensive experience with cloud networking and infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenShift, VMware).

• Exceptional technical documentation and communication skills.

• Strong capabilities in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.

• Familiarity with AI fundamentals and their application in network operations is advantageous.

• Relevant technical certifications are considered a plus.
