
Technology Strategy Manager – Universal Inventory, Network Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Build and guide a high-performing engineering team across the disciplines of DevOps, data engineering, data quality, and QA.
• Collaborate with the Sr Program Manager and stakeholders to define the technical vision and platform architecture.
• Take ownership of platform reliability and operations, ensuring that Universal Inventory remains consistently available, efficient, and secure.
• Lead the transition of data from outdated inventory systems to the new platform.
• Establish standards for data quality and governance frameworks.
• Design and implement data models for network devices that support downstream AI/ML and automation initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across organizational boundaries with the CIO and network operations teams.
• Foster continuous improvement by creating feedback loops and measuring platform performance and data quality metrics.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, including 3–5 years of managing engineering teams in Telecom, IT Operations, or data infrastructure roles.
• A proven history of building and scaling effective engineering teams—recruiting, developing talent, and delivering complex technical projects on schedule.
• Extensive experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Experience in managing migrations and integrations of legacy systems.
• Expertise in telecom networks, with a solid understanding of RAN, core network architecture, inventory concepts, and network data flows.
• Strong grasp of DevOps practices, platform reliability, and incident management.
• Demonstrated capability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and actionable execution plans.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) for platform deployment and operations.
• Hands-on coding skills—able to write code, review pull requests, and contribute to technical decision-making.
