This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Offer personalized technical assistance to customers via email and Safe’s Community Q&A forum.
• Perform software demonstrations and develop proof of concepts for both new and existing clients.
• Design and present training materials, webinars, and presentations aimed at enhancing customers' FME knowledge, while also contributing to Safe’s Community by creating step-by-step tutorials and informative articles.
• Work collaboratively with other teams, sharing your expertise in initiatives such as testing new product features and supporting marketing campaigns for their promotion.
• Explore and assess various configurations and technologies to aid customers, colleagues, and developers.
• Stay informed about product advancements by participating in Feature Demos and testing the latest software versions.
• Recognize issues within FME and advocate for new and enhanced functionalities that will benefit our customers.
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service, technical support, or consultancy roles.
• Familiarity with common data challenges such as schema management, validation, and filtering.
• Experience with ETL processes and/or developing data/application integrations.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information in an understandable manner.
• Empathetic and focused on customer needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Self-driven and enthusiastic about learning new technologies (FME Platform).
• Capacity for critical thinking and problem-solving in complex situations.
• Effective collaboration skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with AI tools and a keen interest in utilizing them for troubleshooting, documentation, or workflows.
• Prior experience with FME Form and/or FME Flow (Nice to Have).
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems (Nice to Have).
• Experience in system administration, networking, and configuration for enterprise software products (Nice to Have).
• Background in technical writing (Nice to Have).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server), various data formats (e.g., GIS, JSON), and/or stream processes (e.g., Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ) (Nice to Have).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC), containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) (Nice to Have).
• Experience using APIs (Nice to Have).
