Technical Support Engineer – Lighting Department

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Review and evaluate RFQs, tender documents, specifications, and project requirements.

• Create precise technical and commercial proposals for lighting projects.

• Develop BOQs, pricing sheets, and comprehensive cost estimates.

• Conduct quantity take-offs based on lighting layouts and project documentation.

• Perform lighting calculations utilizing Dialux evo (supporting role as needed).

• Assess lighting fixtures and choose appropriate products in line with project specifications and budget.

• Collaborate with international lighting manufacturers (including European and Chinese brands) for technical and commercial insights.

• Prepare technical submittals and assist in compiling complete tender submission packages.

• Ensure adherence to international standards and project specifications.

• Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of **practical experience exclusively within lighting companies**.

• Robust background in **quotations, tendering, BOQs, and cost estimation** for lighting projects.

• Must have experience with **international lighting brands (European and/or Chinese manufacturers)**.

• Strong familiarity with **public sector, government, infrastructure, and large-scale lighting projects**.

• High proficiency in **Microsoft Excel (pricing models, costing sheets, BOQs)**.

• Working knowledge of **Dialux evo, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office**.

• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a focus on pricing accuracy.

• Good command of English (both written and spoken).

• Proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign is a plus.
