Technical Support Engineer

Posted 2 days ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary escalation point within the Support team for intricate system and API challenges, utilizing log analysis, database queries, API testing, and scripting to identify root causes.

• Examine and resolve issues in .NET (C#) and/or Node.js applications by analyzing logs, tracking application behavior, and replicating defects in lower environments when feasible.

• Develop and oversee comprehensive JIRA tickets — including reproduction steps, logs, technical insights, and suggested solutions — to expedite resolutions by the Development team.

• Write scripts and tools (C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, SQL, or similar) to automate repetitive troubleshooting tasks and decrease time-to-resolution.

• Recognize patterns of recurring issues and assist in driving permanent, code-based solutions such as bug fixes, data correction scripts, API enhancements, or internal tools.

• Construct and sustain internal support automation, diagnostic tools, and workflow enhancements that enable the broader team to self-serve.

• Proactively relay status updates, timelines, workarounds, and resolutions to end users and stakeholders throughout the support process.

• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and knowledge base articles with a focus on technical, executable, and code-backed documentation.

• May undertake other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in technical support, software engineering, application support, or a comparable hands-on technical role.

• Experience in working with or supporting .NET (C#) and/or Node.js applications.

• Proficient in reading application code, debugging system behavior, and crafting scripts or lightweight tools as part of daily operations.

• Working knowledge of SQL, RESTful APIs, and tools such as Postman or curl for debugging and validation purposes.

• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages including C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Strong understanding of web applications, system integrations, and general troubleshooting across distributed environments.

• Exposure to contemporary development workflows like Git, CI/CD, Docker, or Kubernetes is advantageous.

• Excellent communicator capable of translating technical findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A builder’s mindset — tends to enhance, automate, and streamline technical processes whenever feasible.

• Must reside and work in the US.
