Technical Solutions Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist our largest clients in strategizing the migration of their existing data to Medallion.

• Manage the complete data migration process, which includes extracting data from legacy systems, cleansing, transforming, and loading it into target platforms.

• Interact directly with clients or stakeholders to gather data requirements, address data discrepancies, and communicate about migration progress or potential risks.

• Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our customers’ data while monitoring milestones throughout the implementation process.

• Create sustainable integrations from the ground up to facilitate workflow automation.

• Develop SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting, emphasizing clean and maintainable code.

• Work with diverse and complex client data models, quickly assess data quality, and design customized solutions to fulfill each client's migration requirements.

• Set customer expectations and timelines, validate data, and execute the migration of complex datasets into Medallion.

• Identify potential blockers that could hinder implementation; collaborate with relevant internal and external teams to address them.

• Develop Python-based automation scripts for data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and migration validation.

• Collaborate with the EPD team to automate repetitive aspects of implementations that can be productized.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in data modeling and/or migration, preferably with complex datasets.

• At least 4 years of experience working directly with enterprise clients.

• Demonstrated ability in writing complex SQL queries and Python scripts, rather than merely modifying existing code.

• Knowledge of additional coding languages is advantageous.

• Capability to establish bi-directional integrations between external and internal platforms.

• Proficient in designing, building, and optimizing queries and data pipelines in their entirety, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle) within a migration or data pipeline context.

• Experience in a rapidly growing SaaS company, ideally within a B2B startup environment.

• Ability to inspire and maintain enthusiasm throughout the onboarding process.

• Proven experience in managing multiple complex data projects concurrently.
