This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver service, support, and maintenance for IMAX digital projection and audio systems throughout the UK and Europe.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades via on-site visits and remote assistance.
• Ensure target uptime across IMAX theatres through proactive servicing and quick response.
• Manage and maintain advanced projection and audio equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and carry out service visits, including hardware and software installations.
• Identify and resolve equipment failures to minimize downtime and prevent lost shows.
• Address customer alerts, emails, and phone calls within established service-level expectations.
• Assist in emergency service dispatches and restore systems to their normal functioning.
• Travel extensively across the UK and Europe to support theatre operations.
• Compile detailed service reports after customer visits.
• Maintain precise service records in CRM systems and internal databases.
• Monitor replacement parts and adhere to warranty return protocols.
• Keep accurate theatre information and technical records.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
• A diploma or degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Background in electronics, computer repair, field service, or technical support environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, electronics, and specialized diagnostic tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and audio testing equipment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience in handling and installing electronic components using appropriate anti-static protocols.
• Familiarity with AC and DC power systems, encompassing low-voltage, single-phase, and three-phase equipment.
• Strong capabilities in troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and common PC hardware and software.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, connectivity testing, and network communications.
• Familiarity with FTP protocols, Telnet, and related utilities.
• Valid driver's license and passport with the capacity to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights as needed.
