Technical Service Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Provide expert technical and scientific assistance for enzyme and yeast applications within customer environments.

• Collaborate with sales teams during client meetings, training sessions, and onsite visits.

• Act as an internal technical authority on designated product lines, applications, and their limitations.

• Perform regular plant visits to conduct process audits, laboratory analyses, and optimize performance.

• Examine process and lab data to pinpoint improvement opportunities and offer recommendations.

• Create tools or models to improve data analysis and support technical decision-making.

• Conduct customer training on product selection, application, and optimization strategies.

• Provide post-sale technical support during product testing and implementation phases.

• Assist in account planning and identify business development opportunities from both technical and commercial viewpoints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or technical field (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related areas).

• 3–4 years of experience in an industrial biotechnology setting (enzymes, food, fuel alcohol, or similar sectors).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for interpreting technical data.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with JMP or other statistical software is preferred.

• Customer-centric mindset with excellent relationship-building capabilities.

• Self-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently.

• Strong organizational skills and capacity to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across Sales, Marketing, and R&D.

• Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time.
