This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Meet established monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for revenue and profitability within the designated territory and specific product volumes.
• Identify and understand the challenges or unmet needs of both prospective and existing customers to effectively create winning solutions, ensuring customer success.
• Enhance customer awareness of Biotage products and their advantages through sales calls, seminars, and practical demonstrations.
• Establish and cultivate new customer relationships, adding new accounts while expanding existing ones.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing hands-on development and troubleshooting of SPE Sample Prep Methods at their locations.
• Educate customers on the most effective methods to maximize value from Biotage products.
• Collaborate with Biotage Applications Scientists to develop advanced or complex SPE Sample Prep Methods.
• Gather and relay customer feedback regarding their experiences and success levels with Biotage products.
• Showcase Biotage equipment either at customer locations or through virtual presentations to assist in product sales.
• Maintain regular communication with the Inside Sales team to capitalize on opportunities.
• Deliver timely and accurate sales forecasts.
• Follow up on leads promptly, qualifying them and documenting the results within the CRM platform.
• Keep precise and current records of sales activities and opportunity statuses in the CRM system.
• Represent the company at conferences as necessary.
• Generate quotes and negotiate pricing within authorized limits.
• Exceptional verbal, written, active listening, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
• Strong time management abilities, self-motivation, creativity, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and CRM software (Salesforce.com).
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in a chemistry laboratory setting with Biotage or similar workflow tools is advantageous.
• A proven history of success in sales and account management is highly sought after.
• Experience in selling scientific equipment is a plus.
