Technical Quotations Manager – Switchgear & Power Distribution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily workflow of quotations management

• Prioritize around 10–15 active quotations simultaneously

• Coordinate tasks within a small quotations team

• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers regarding pricing, specifications, and updates

• Ensure that quotations are precise, comprehensive, and submitted within stipulated deadlines

• Analyze customer needs and technical specifications

• Facilitate the progression of projects from inquiry to order

• Collaborate closely with company leadership to ensure alignment of priorities

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in the electrical distribution sector

• In-depth knowledge of switchgear, circuit breakers, fuses, panelboards, Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV), UPS systems, and electrical protection devices

• Previous experience in preparing or coordinating technical quotations

• Experience collaborating with electrical contractors, distributors, or manufacturers

• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities

• Capable of handling multiple priorities at once

• Strong customer service and relationship management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

• Reliable fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps for both upload and download

• Ability to support a wired Ethernet connection

• Dependable power backup solution to manage load shedding and outages

• Availability to work Monday–Friday, from 14:00 to 23:00 South African time, subject to U.S. daylight saving and business operational needs

• Willingness to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays

• Preferred: prior leadership or team coordination experience

• Preferred: experience with electrical wholesalers or manufacturers

• Preferred: knowledge of U.S. electrical products or standards
