• Take charge of comprehensive development pipelines for device and skincare initiatives, including timelines, project documentation, vendor interactions, risk management, and decision tracking.
• Oversee critical paths in device development, from industrial design through tooling, engineering validation, testing, certification, and the initial production run.
• Manage relationships with international manufacturing partners, addressing technical communications, change orders, and escalations.
• Collaborate across industrial design, mechanical/electrical engineering, firmware, packaging, and quality assurance, addressing and escalating cross-functional conflicts as necessary.
• Direct skincare development schedules that encompass formulation, stability and compatibility testing, packaging, claims substantiation, and regulatory review.
• Handle contract manufacturer partnerships, including briefings, follow-ups, escalations, and ensuring data-driven vendor communications with defined deadlines.
• Keep thorough project documentation, such as briefs, trackers, specification sheets, launch-readiness checklists, live Gantt charts, meeting minutes, decision logs, and action items.
• Anticipate risks, highlight issues early, and offer suggested solutions to leadership and the CEO.
• Bachelor’s degree (BS) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing physical product development programs in beauty/skincare, consumer devices/hardware, or other technically demanding sectors like medical devices, biotech, or consumer goods manufacturing.
• Proven experience in managing launch timelines across various cross-functional teams for physical products.
• Familiarity with overseeing international manufacturers or contractors across different time zones, ensuring vendors meet deadlines.
• Experience in creating and maintaining project documentation for product development (briefs, trackers, specification sheets, Gantt charts, decision logs) utilized by cross-functional teams.
• Competence in independently drafting communications for vendors and manufacturers, including technical updates, change requests, and escalations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders (engineers, chemists) and international manufacturing partners (including those in China).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Available to work during US business hours.
• Proficient in tools such as Notion, Asana or ClickUp, and Google Sheets.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin.
• Willingness to travel regularly for work purposes.
• Competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000 USD (plus a performance-based bonus linked to product launch milestones).
