• As a technical mentor, your role will encompass three primary responsibilities.
• Conduct 1:1 video calls.
• Facilitate Virtual Technical Deep-Dive Sessions.
• Lead Group Q&A sessions.
• Offer personalized assistance by responding to learner inquiries regarding course material and projects.
• Before each call, mentors are expected to review the students' past project submissions—provided by the Mentor Success Team when available—and/or specific areas of the Nanodegree content or project that the student has indicated confusion or difficulty with.
• For concept deep-dives, mentors should prepare a slide presentation that elaborates on a Nanodegree concept, sharing various use-cases to enhance students' perspectives and understanding, followed by a Q&A session with the learners.
• During project walkthroughs, mentors will come equipped with a slide presentation detailing each component of the rubric to assist learners in grasping expectations and typical challenges they may face. This may include a mentor “grading” a sample submission to illustrate what to look for when reviewing projects.
• Organize regular sessions (via Slack or video) to address learner inquiries related to projects and coursework, with no prior preparation required.
• Demonstrated technical expertise with over 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
• A strong passion for mentoring and facilitating the success of others in their learning journeys.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills. You thrive on building relationships, communicating effectively, and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
• A comprehensive understanding of the tech industry and emerging trends in AI and associated fields.
• The ability to work part-time as an external contractor while managing your current commitments.
• In-depth knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic reasoning frameworks such as CoT and ReAct.
• Experience in designing and implementing prompt chains, role-based prompts, feedback loops, and iterative prompt refinement.
• Practical experience in building agentic workflows, including task routing, orchestration, sequential workflows, parallel workflows, and reflective AI workflows.
• Capability to design and implement AI agents with tool utilization, API integrations, structured outputs, memory, state management, and database interaction.
• Familiarity with RAG-based agent systems, including both single-agent and multi-agent RAG implementations.
• Knowledge of AI agent evaluation, including testing, debugging, and enhancing agent performance.
• Understanding of multi-agent system design, encompassing orchestration, routing, state coordination, and multi-agent architectures.
• Proficiency in articulating complex Agentic AI concepts clearly through instruction, demonstrations, and learner support.
• Make a difference by mentoring and contributing to a dynamic, global learning community.
• Exhibit your expertise and gain recognition for your technical knowledge.
