Technical MATM Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as the main hands-on technical expert for Manhattan Active Transportation Management (MATM)

• Assess, create, revise, test, and resolve issues with MATM configurations

• Set up processes for transportation planning, execution, tendering, rating, routing, tracking, and related activities

• Analyze business needs and choose the appropriate configuration, integration, extension, or process-change solutions

• Examine production issues utilizing application tools, logs, messages, alerts, and transaction data

• Manage configuration modifications across development, testing, and production environments

• Assist in testing, validation, deployment, and post-production verification

• Design and uphold the technical integration architecture between MATM and enterprise systems

• Evaluate TMS data flows, API payloads, messages, mappings, transformations, and interface designs

• Offer technical guidance for APIs, asynchronous messaging, batch processes, and middleware integrations

• Guarantee integration validation, logging, monitoring, reconciliation, retry, and recovery functionalities

• Diagnose failures across MATM, middleware, ERP, warehouse, carrier, and connected systems

• Convert transportation requirements into MATM configuration and integration designs

• Assess solutions for reliability, maintainability, performance, and operational supportability

• Provide technical estimates and assist with projects, enhancements, defect resolutions, and operational improvements

• Collaborate with Manhattan Associates and implementation partners on intricate technical challenges

• Deliver advanced production support and conduct root-cause analyses

• Create runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and support documentation

• Execute permanent corrective measures for recurring problems

• Assist in monitoring and reconciliation processes

• Engage in an on-call or production-support rotation as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in implementing, configuring, or supporting Manhattan Active Transportation Management

• Proficient in navigating MATM administration and configuration features and making application configuration changes

• Experience in troubleshooting MATM configuration, processing, data, and integration challenges

• Strong knowledge of transportation planning and optimization

• Familiarity with shipment and load creation, routing, consolidation, carrier selection, tendering, rating, accessorial charges, execution, tracking, and financial integration or freight settlement

• Experience in designing and supporting TMS integrations with internal enterprise systems

• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, web services, event-driven integrations, message queues, or middleware platforms

• Capability to review interface specifications, payloads, field mappings, and data transformations

• Experience utilizing logs, monitoring tools, application data, and error messages for troubleshooting

• Background in supporting enterprise applications in production settings

• Ability to work autonomously and take technical ownership until resolution

• Competence in conveying technical designs and issues to developers, business users, vendors, and technology leaders

• Legally authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship

• Preferred: experience with various MATM components, Manhattan Active APIs, extensions, integration frameworks, release processes, SQL, relational data, middleware, monitoring, API-testing tools, source control, deployment, automated testing, CI/CD, and transportation or supply-chain technology
