Technical Lead – Workday Adaptive Planning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the overall architecture for the Adaptive Planning platform.

• Design, develop, and configure precise planning models within Genesys’ Adaptive Planning instances, ensuring adherence to design standards, while preventing model sprawl and logic duplication.

• Establish and enforce governance and modeling standards for the platform to ensure its long-term maintainability.

• Ensure that the platform facilitates driver-based, integrated planning.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to assist stakeholders in navigating design and configuration decisions based on established best practices.

• Build and manage integrations between Adaptive Planning instances and various external systems to ensure smooth data flow.

• Design and manage platform security for a multi-instance planning environment, leveraging the latest product features.

• Monitor system performance and health, implementing necessary enhancements to uphold optimal performance.

• Build and troubleshoot Advanced Reports in Workday and establish custom calculation fields.

• Develop standardized dashboards, as well as Web/OfficeConnect reports and templates.

• Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Act as a subject matter expert and provide training to teammates and business personnel as required.

• Create user guides to facilitate effective use of adaptive planning tools and best practices.

• Ensure systems and processes adhere to ITGC & SDLC standards in both development and support activities.

• Write test scripts to support QA, SIT, UAT, E2E, and Performance testing.

• In an Agile environment, collaborate with the Product Owner and other team members to refine user stories and tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Planning (EPM/CPM) systems such as Workday Adaptive Planning or similar tools (Oracle EPBCS, Hyperion Planning, Anaplan), with at least 5 years focused on Adaptive Planning implementation for medium to large enterprises.

• Proficient in Adaptive REST APIs, JavaScript, and SQL.

• Prior experience in building and modifying staging tables and custom cloud loaders.

• Proven experience with Workday Data Management or CCDS, integrating various source systems (Workday FINS/HCM, Salesforce, Snowflake, etc.).

• In-depth understanding of multidimensional model design, driver-based planning, and performance optimization.

• Previous experience with multi-currency models and reporting.

• Capability to resolve highly complex problems by collaborating with cross-functional teams within IT and business across different regions.

• Ability to quickly adapt to changes and manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and uncertainty effectively.

• Proficient in handling multiple tasks and adjusting to changing priorities.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on critical tasks as well as collaboratively within a team.
