This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take charge of the technical direction and implementation by the entire team throughout all phases, from conceptualization to deployment, adhering to established architecture.
• Assess trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact to ensure the development of optimal solutions, prioritizing client success.
• Establish and oversee the team's technical documentation and repository management practices, which include tasks such as branch creation, pull requests, and merges.
• Work collaboratively with product, design, and engineering teams to provide essential oversight of architecture and dependencies that affect product strategy and direction.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and resolve complex bug fixes with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
• Actively engage as a leader in the Engineering Practice community, mentoring Senior Engineers and others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams, fostering the growth of technical capabilities.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in web development, demonstrating expertise in the following technologies:
• Python and Python frameworks
• PostgresSQL
• AWS
• Docker
• At least a foundational understanding of frontend development (JS, CSS, HTML).
• Familiarity with OAuth2 and OpenID Connect protocols.
• High level of English proficiency required for effective interaction with a globally distributed development team.
• Proven experience in leading teams within Agile software development methodologies.
• Documented experience in following and adapting high-level architecture to meet project and client specifications.
• Capability to verify and validate architecture implementations, influencing overall architecture beyond the team.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, with preferred experience in languages such as Python.
• High-level design skills following UML / C4 / ArchiMate methodologies.
• Experience in effectively collaborating among relevant information stakeholders to design and implement well-tested, scalable, secure, and performant enterprise-level systems that achieve the client’s desired business outcomes.
• Proven initiative in mentoring other engineers and decision-makers throughout the organization.
• Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns, SOLID principles, and OWASP.
