This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Serve as the primary decision-maker for technical aspects, ensuring a balance between quick delivery and sustainable technical viability.

• Design comprehensive solutions, documenting technical specifications and choosing suitable technology stacks to achieve business objectives.

• Oversee technical projects from initial estimation and exploration to final deployment and ongoing maintenance.

• Actively guide junior and mid-level developers, promoting skill development and upholding high standards for code quality and unit testing.

• Engage directly with clients and product owners to provide suggested methodologies, feasibility evaluations, and technical roadmaps.

• Over 7 years of experience in building and maintaining robust web applications in production settings.

• Demonstrated history of leading engineering teams from project estimation to successful deployment.

• Experience in direct interaction with clients and stakeholders, bridging the divide between business requirements and technical execution.

• A passion for creatively addressing complex technical challenges and empowering teams to craft innovative solutions.

• Advanced expertise in Go, alongside proficiency in Java and TypeScript; experience with Python is a plus!

• In-depth knowledge of both Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Document-based (NoSQL) databases.

• Strong grasp of REST architecture, consumption patterns, and the capability to design complex distributed systems.

• Practical experience with cloud functions and hosting services on GCP (GAE, Firebase) or AWS.

• Experience and enthusiasm for leading and mentoring a diverse team of developers.

• Bonus Points: Experience in creating or maintaining large-scale SaaS (Software as a Service) projects.

• Hands-on experience in leading projects using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

• Familiarity with Protobufs, PubSub, or other non-REST communication frameworks (gRPC, RPC).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
