This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Act as the primary technical authority for our Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Support team.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of intricate customer challenges related to data, analytics, and cloud platforms.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement scalable, long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.
• Review changes to SQL and BI objects while advocating for development best practices.
• Mentor and coach analysts to enhance the technical skills of the entire team.
• Identify opportunities for automation and ongoing improvement within support processes.
• Facilitate root cause analysis meetings as needed to explore any recurring issues and how we can address them.
• Assist customers in maximizing the benefits of Arkatechture's analytics platform through technical advice and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Success to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and platform usage.
• Support customer interactions by providing technical expertise, holding office hours, and expanding upon Knowledge Base articles and Learning Management System training for customers.
• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL solutions.
• Troubleshoot ELT processes, data pipelines, and BI reporting environments.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to Tableau and Power BI dashboards and scheduled refreshes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Success, and Product teams to deliver scalable solutions for customers.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience working with SQL in production settings.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases and cloud data platforms (such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift, Synapse, BigQuery, or similar).
• Strong experience in designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing data warehouses and analytics solutions.
• Proficiency with Tableau and Power BI.
• A solid understanding of data modeling, ELT processes, and modern analytics architecture.
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the capability to build trusted relationships with customers.
• Experience in mentoring colleagues or acting as a technical leader.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
